7g + 3g - 10 + 3 = 43

(first combine likes terms)

10g - 7 = 43

(then add 7 to both sides)

10g - 7 = 43
        +7    +7

10g = 50

(then divide by 10 to get what g is equal to)

10g = 50
/10     /10

g = 5
