7 Georgie and Dex sold candy to help fund their school trip. Georgie sold 2/3 as much candy as Dex did. If Dex sold 9 boxes, how many did Georgie sell?

Given data:

The expression for the cadies sold by Georgie is G=2/3 D.

The numbers of candies sold by Dex is D=9.

Substitute 9 for D in the first expression.

Thus, Georgie sold 6 candies.
