let f(x)=y

y=(x+3)^2+5

interchanging role of x and y

x=(y+3)²+5

x-5=(y+3)²

√(x-3)-3=y

y=√(x-3)-3

:.inverse of f(x)=(x+3)^2+5 is f-¹(x)=√(x-3)-3
